Remove the plug and ensure that any locks or catches are removed to prevent young children from being trapped inside. Keep all packaging materials away from children.
Position the appliance in a cool, well-ventilated room, away from sources of heat such as boilers or radiators. Ensure that air openings are not obstructed. The back of the appliance should be close to a wall, leaving the required distance for ventilation.
After positioning the appliance, leave it for 2 hours before turning it on, allowing the refrigerant to settle.
Before use, remove all securing tapes. Wash the inside of the appliance with lukewarm water and bicarbonate of soda (5 ml to 0.5 litre of water). Do not use soap or detergent, as the smell may linger. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
The refrigerator's temperature is regulated by a thermostat with 6 positions and one 'OFF' (O) position. Turn the thermostat dial to the required position. The intermediate position (3-4) is usually the most suitable. Adjust based on room temperature, door opening frequency, and food quantity.
When first starting or after a period of non-use, run the appliance for at least two hours on the coldest setting before placing food inside. Then, adjust the thermostat knob to the normal operating position.
